Southern seeks to run coal-fired plants longer than planned (NYSE:SO)

Southern Co. (NYSE:SO) -1.4% in Friday’s trading as its Georgia Power unit filed an integrated resource plan with the state’s Public Service Commission that asks to operate coal-fired plants for years longer than previously planned.
